Orangetheory Fitness Booking App Reviews

Great concept....terrible execution

Major latency. Not sure if it is the app itself trying to do too much or the servers on the back end that are slow....really affects performance. Last page memory. There is no ability to keep your place in the app when you navigate to another screen. Again, poor coding here. Login ID. The app does not remember authentication, particularly if you try to schedule at another studio. Now, there are issues with cross studio membership that contribute to this, but, the app lets you "think" you can do that. It should not allow visibility at all if there is no way to actually schedule a class at another location. Monthly fees and scheduling. The fee are high (though, a decent value of you go a lot), however, given that they are month to month (really 2 months because of the 30 day notice policy to cancel), when the end of the membership month approaches, the app wont let you schedule beyond that date. Again, a function on their membership policy and system, however, the system knows who can or cant cancel on the particular end of month and allow those who cant cancel (meaning they did not provide 30 day notice) the ability to schedule classes in the app. This causes a problem because class sizes often lock you out if you dont schedule soon enough. That is all for now....plenty. There are some great features (scheduling of classes, review of charges, attendance history) which is why these other deficiencies are so annoying. A decent build that has potential but does not hit the mark.

Needs workout history

This app is not complete until it shows my workout history with the stats shown in class. And then Apple Health should be able to access the data too so I can completely track my fitness goals. Also, would like to see Bluetooth scales integrated as well.

Please show spots remaining

My studio is frequently completely booked. I get really tired of clicking on class after class after class to try to find a spot. It would be nice if I could see how many spots are left without clicking on each individual class.

Technology

OTF as a workout is great. For a company exploiting technology as a competitive advantage this app is a disgrace. Why would the calendar not go back to the date you were at after clicking into a class? Having to rescroll and wait for it to catch up over and over when trying to book classes in advance is beyond irritating. Why would it not notify me when I move from waitlist to getting into the class? OTF obviously knows how many spots are open in a class at any given time so why does it not tell you on the app so you dont have to (once again) scroll all the way back to the date after entering waitlist to see where you are in queue? Amazed how bad this is...

Great Workout-Not So Great App

I tried to sign up for a class at a different location than my initial visit, and apparently I cant do that. The only classes I can sign up for are my "base location" classes and thats super inconvenient, since the "home location" is across town from where I live and work. So, I gotta do it the old fashioned way and call to sign up.

Could be so much better

Love the class and everyone at my OTF. But, the app stinks. As others have mentioned, the booking/calendar function is poor. I’d also love to have the ability to add classes to my calendar if the OTF staff sign me up for them. And, I can’t imagine why the workout data isn’t stored in your app. Doesn’t seem like it would be difficult since they already send you an email after every workout.

OK, but could be better

It does the basics, but could be improved. Calendar integration seems obvious, so why is it missing. Also, notifications do not work for me.

Good scheduling - lacks fitness history

Wish app showed performance history.

App problems

Ive never been able to use this app because it shuts down the second I open it. I am an orange theory member and have to book sessions through my computer. The app would be much more convenient if it would actually work. I have tried deleting it and installing it several times but still no luck. Is anyone else having this problem???

Only for the young eyes

Im middle aged and love the workouts! However the app doesnt consider basic things like font size to allow anyone but a teenager to read it. Even with prescription reading glasses, I cant read what number I am on the wait list. Please fix this soon!

Great workout, app needs help

App should keep stat progress so that you dont need to look at your emails. To be able to track stats over time in one app would make the overall experience of OTF much better

App Needs Work

This app is pretty awful. Its slow to load and the overall interface seems super bland and heavy feeling. I think class stats should be able to be pulled up within the app.

I love OTF but hate this app

I have never seen an app so poorly represent a great service. It crashes frequently and simply erases my scheduled class information. This app is my only complaint against OTF and significantly complicates the simple process of scheduling classes. If I were OTF I would ditch this app platform and start over.

Ok...needs new pics!

Please change the cover photo. Love her enthusiasm, hate seeing her hanging out of that top. People dont dress like that to do OTF! It is a bit much to see EVERY time. I like being able to book multiple classes of the same time. Also, Doesnt always say when classes are full/wait listed

App Doesnt Work

The original booking app works just fine, but after repeatedly trying to sign into this new app it says that my username/password is incorrect. Even if I hit "forgot password," it does not recognize my email address. I guess Ill stick to the old app!

Love to schedule and manage it via the app

Simple to keep track of otf workout activities.

Great for scheduling

This app has come a long way from when first launched. Easy to use in scheduling. I do wish it would show the open spots remaining in each class which would help from a planning perspective.

Needs work

I love the workouts but this app needs help! Very clunky and slow, booking classes should be easier. More information about my daily workouts would be interesting. Information about how Im doing this week compared to last week, last month etc. And please please change that picture of the blonde girl. Ive been looking at it for months!

Good, but needs improvements

My only bone to pick is that my workout stats arent available. I would love to see that to track progress.

Good start

Pros 1. Quick and simple to book classes Cons 1. Requires a second app, one for workout data (OTbeat) and one for booking 2. There is no way to determine how many spots remain available for each class
